Welcome to at-home summer camp! If you recently navigated homeschooling, now is the perfect time to switch to summer activities. Bri from Parties With A Cause and I are launching a weekly summer series to share simple, engaging activities and snacks you can do with kids at home.

Each week we’ll post three themed ideas. We’re kicking off with Dinosaur Week — a great theme for kids who are fascinated by prehistoric creatures.

I also run another blog called 65 Million Years that’s dedicated to enriching kids who love dinosaurs. My five-year-old hopes to be a paleontologist, so our house is full of dinosaur toys and projects.

So why a clear slime recipe? It makes excellent “dinosaur drool” for imaginative play and sensory exploration.

Making clear slime is simple and requires just two main ingredients: clear glue and Elmer’s Magical Liquid. Combine 4–6 ounces of clear glue with 1/4 cup of Elmer’s Magical Liquid in a bowl and stir. The mixture will be sticky at first and will transform into a smooth, clear slime texture as you knead it.

I originally shared this dino drool clear slime recipe on the 65 Million Years blog. That post includes helpful safety tips and clean-up advice for when playtime ends.

Here’s a short video my kids and I made for the 65 Million Years YouTube channel showing how quick and easy this clear slime is to make.

My kids love making slime, and it’s a great hands-on activity that keeps them entertained while encouraging sensory play.

On Parties With A Cause, Bri is sharing a complementary project: how to make DIY dinosaur fossils. These two projects pair well for a dinosaur-themed play session.
