Itsy-bitsy spider treats can look a bit like tiny octopuses at first glance, but made the right way they’re unmistakably spider-like — and absolutely adorable.
The very small versions, especially, really read as spiders and make a charming addition to brownies or mini cupcakes.
These tiny spiders are made using Sixlets and Celebration Pearls, with matching colored jimmies for legs. They’re simple to assemble and look delightful on mini desserts.
Ingredients and supplies:
- Sixlets candies
- Celebration Pearl candies
- Colored jimmies sprinkles that match the candy colors
- Black edible marker
- Frosted brownie bites or mini cupcakes as the base
Assembly instructions:
- Place a Sixlet candy on top of the frosting of a brownie bite or mini cupcake.
- Use a black edible marker to draw a small smiley face on a color-coordinated Celebration Pearl, then place the pearl in front of the Sixlet on the frosting to form the spider’s face.
- Insert four colored jimmies into the frosting on one side of the Sixlet to create legs, then insert four more on the opposite side.
That’s it — you’ll have a sweet, itty-bitty baby spider perfect for parties, Halloween treats, or just a whimsical snack.
